Course Details

Nursing Care Assistant is defined as research concerned with starting costs of nursing care, examining the relationships between quality patient care and nursing services, observing problems of nursing services, delivery of health services and delivery within the broader context of policy analysis. Nurses who are working in hospitals are promoted to ward sister without any formal administration and training. This course will help to promote the skills and knowledge of the in-service nurses in the administrative competence.

Objectives

Communicate professionally, clearly, and therapeutically with patients and co-workers.

Demonstrate knowledge of caring for the patient in a healthcare environment.

Function in a health care environment utilizing professional standards of conduct and safe standard precautions.

Provide an environment that promotes safety and well-being for clients, caregivers, and others during the delivery of basic patient care across the life span.

Discuss common health problems associated with each body system.

Demonstrate safe decision making in the delivery of quality, cost-effective care to a diverse patient population.

Solve problems using safe, creative, analytical thinking.

Describe the requirements necessary to maintain certification as a nursing assistant/geriatric aide in the state of Maryland.
